Learn to do the Texas Cowboy yoyo trick with a video and written description.

This is a great trick when you’re performing, because you can see it even from a distance and it looks very difficult and acrobatic.

To do the Texas Cowboy, it’s sometimes easier to use a ball bearing yoyo, because you’ll have to throw two complete Horizontal Around the Worlds to complete the trick. (In the video, I’m just using a standard wooden axle Pro Yo, so if you’re a fixed axle kind of person, don’t worry.)

Start by throwing a very hard Horizontal Around the World that goes all the way around you over your head. Caution! Make sure you have a new string, or you might end up throwing your yoyo 100 yards away or breaking something.

After the first Horizontal Around the World over your head, let the yoyo drop down to do another Horizontal Around the World. This time, your body will be in the way so you’ll have to jump over the string as the yoyo passes by.

After jumping over the string, wake up the yoyo and let it come back to your hand.
