This is my review of the Ben Jammin yoyo by yoyojam and it is built to take 2 handed play (thin gap, imperial shape). I really liked the feel of this yoyo kind of like a viper but a little more solid. It has an adjustable string gap feature so it takes type 8 or type 6 string and means you can set it to sleep a little longer so it will be easier to learn wraps. With the gap set to loop (thin gap) you can still get worlds out of it which is a key part to 2 handed play. With the gap thin you will need short strings, and I mean short (they were like 25 cm long!) other wise they loop down to much (a little is good) but with these short strings they will punch very well and fast however they do seem to have this “stall” at the end of each loop (even with a lot of lube in the bearing). Some like this “stall” some don’t it’s a personal thing which you will have to try for your self, sorry. However there is one factor that really gets to me…..they eat strings. Now when I say eat I mean eat! Even using type 6 string they break every 10 mins or so. This is not because of the star bursts (if it was they would wear down and play ok after time) but is because of the edge of the yoyo. The plastic is to tough and to sharp so it can not be sorted out. I like these yoyo’s but because of this factor I don’t use them.
