Yomega X-brain — this yoyo is being sold a lot of places on sale now, and for that reason I say that for 8 bucks or less, pick one up. Anyone who can yo decently should be able to sleep it like 30 seconds or more (I can throw for 45 secs, and I am a beginning/intermediate yoist (split the atom/triple trapeze/double or triple or nothing)). It is ok on most string tricks but sliding it backward on MOTFT slows it a lot. Overall it is a decent yoyo, and kinda cool looking. Add it to your collection for novelty–play it for fun so you can surprise people who think only those who can’t yo would dare bring an X-brain/Brain to town.

ok to my opinion all yomega brains suck. this one was a special piece of crap. the yomega brains are for people who can’t pull up a yoyo for themselves. i can only get it to sleep for for 20-45 secs. that’s not good.its kinda heavy. just save up money for the other yoyos from yomega. and then it takes forever to restring these. they make alot of screeching noises and require a lot o’ lube. or maybe mine was special, hmm. i do not like brains. and for all u people who like them, man buy a REAL yoyo. but for u new yoists its a good start. just make sure u arent seen with one. please listen to this, if u have enough money for a brain please dont do this to yourself, buy a fireball,raider, or an rbII people. i like the rb2 a lot. shop at yomega.com or yoyoplay.com they have good prices. but at yomega.com you get 5 strings and brain lube just for ordering with them. thats really good for you rookies. It’s good if you’re a collector too. i have one but i dont use it because it is not sumthin to try to impress friends with. but if it sounds like im badmouthing yomega, im not i luv yomega from the bottom of my heart. i have the raider, wingforce, and now i’m getting the panther, strobe yo, and hyperwarp wing.

These are some of the most advertised, hyped up yo-yos out there on the market, and they don’t live up to it. On the positive side, it’s just cool to see a yo-yo respond automatically. You can do tricks like Man on the Flying Trapeze and Brain Twister… barely, though. It’s not much of a looper and it won’t sleep long, maybe 20 seconds on a hard throw. The different versions of it are simply that version of the Fireball, but that automatically returns. Any other yo-yo that automatically returns is pretty much the same, so don’t think one of them will do much better.

The yomega x brain is an alright yo yo for a learner, but if you want to bust some big tricks you must get something that can freespin for much much longer.

For experts, this may not be a the yoyo they want. For beginners (like me) it is excellent to train your basics (sleeper throw), because it returns when the rpm drop to a certain number, so I have a clue whether I threw it well or not. It does not sleep very well because it has a lot of friction, but as I said, I can see if my technique improves. With a better sleeping but not returning yoyo, I never know whether it still spins. I can sit there for minutes like an idiot, staring on a yoyo that is already dead as a rock. As soon as your skils improve, the X-Brain may be outdated for you.

The X-brain reg. and wing are the basic 4way system. You cant do any tricks because half way through it comes back auto. If you didn’t all ready know you can take the two brains and screw them together to make a SUPER YO-YO! That’s about it.
