Spintastics Tigershark (old models and G4)
The Spintastics Tigershark has to be one of the best Butterflies I have ever used. I can get excellent sleep times of 2 minutes with ease with the T-Shark. (Even though you only need about 13-25 seconds to do a trick and SLEEP TIME DOESN’T COUNT!) It is like a hot knife going through butter on string tricks. Mine only caught on string tricks a couple of times. I triple-looped the string and did around 75 loops, so I guess it loops pretty good triple-looped. It is rim weighted, so you can get even longer sleep times than a regular Butterfly. Spintastics yoyos just don’t stop…like the energizer bunny…keep making new yoyos….and making…and making….will they ever stop? That is the question.. I have heard that the Starburst TS is too responsive and catches on the string a lot. I am happy i got my nice, shiny, red, raised disks T-Shark.

THIS IS THE BEST YOYO EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! As soon as I got it I was able to do tricks that I thought were impossible. This yoyo is awesome at sleeping, string tricks, off-string tricks and last but not least it is very responsive. With a little practice it can be a vary good looper. I would strongly recommend this yoyo to anyone who wants an all around GREAT yoyo.

This yoyo was really cool at first, but after a while, it starts “leaning” to one side. I have had the yoyo for 3 years, and I am brutal to it, because I don’t have any string, grease, and anything to fix it up. Anyways, it has its original string, and it still works, but every now and then, it vibrates. I am an intermmediate yoyoer and I can RARELY get it to loop. It doesn’t seem to do string tricks very well either. It sleeps for about 15 seconds, and the only things that it can do with ease are: Around the world, Walk the dog, Forward pass, and tricks like that. DONT attempt the UFO trick with this yoyo. It is at least, impossible to me. I am getting a TBB and I have heard that that yoyo uses a lot of brake pads, (so i ordered 20, and 25 strings, and the yoyo) I will write a review on that yoyo too. Out of a 1-5 scale, i would give this yoyo a 2. A REGULAR GENERIC YOYO LOOPS BETTER THAN THE TIGERSHARK FOR GODS SAKE!

The Spintastics Tigershark is my best yo-yo. I got it on www.spintastics.com. Plus I got it to sleep for 2 minutes. It is good on looping and string tricks. The roller bearing yo-yos like these are great. It is a bangin yo-yo. I know that anyone who buys it will love it.

This yo is my favourite yo out of all my yo’s b/c it is responsive and very nice long sleep times and pretty smooth. I think out of the pack the way I am reviewing it is that it is not good but once moded it is a very nice yo. But out the pack it plays rough on the string catches everything like when doing pop ups it catches and slams in to your fist. It sleeps about 2 mins out the pack but I got my to sleep 3.40 seconds when moded so it can play very nice but takes time to get it to play that nice. You have to mod it if you want a nice tiger shark but once you do it is well nice and you would want to make more like i did. but if you want an out the pack yo, this is not the one try a Gade. but if you have time to mod this, it is great yo. it is not a bad yo out the pack but there are better around, but saying that i learned all my intermediate tricks like atom smasher and stuff on it so it is a nice yo if you are just about to take yoyoing seriously. but i have loads in my collection because they play sweet when modded and i would take the time and do that.

I have many yo-yos, including a ballistic, a viper, a turbo bumblebee and a millennium, and this is by far the best . It is very low maintenance and doesn’t need lubing very often. It is the best string trick yo yo Ihave personally ever used and is also a very good looper when tightened all the way. It goes down very smooth and comes up very easily. I would reccomend this yo yo to any and all types of players.

TS3: This is a good yo yo out of the box. Very responsive but it isn’t that smooth on string tricks. It sleeps pretty good for me, although I haven’t tried adding weight rings. The weight, 59 g, is a bit light but its decent. After I shimmed it a lot and added med tape, this yo yo h as a huge gap and is very smooth AND responsive. I also sanded down the starbursts. Conclusion: After messing with it a bit, it can become a really great yo yo.

TS4: This didn’t live up to its hype at all. Basically a lighter version of the ts3. Its smoother outta the box that the ts3, but its so light, it feels cheap. It doesn’t sleep that long either. Even after I added weight rings, it still doesn’t sleep as long as my ts3 w/out weight rings. Don’t get me wrong though, its still a pretty good yo yo for its price. A good thing is that it is very responsive. Conclusion: Takes too much modding to make it great. No major changes from ts3 so I think u would be better off with a heavier ts3.

I was very, very pleased with this magnificent yoyo the minute I opened the package. The performance of this yoyo is comparable, if not better than, many yoyos that are much higher priced. The Tigershark is great on almost every trick imaginable (with the exception of looping tricks, but with practice it can also be pretty good at those!), especially string tricks. This yoyo is my favorite out of my vast collection, and I would recommend it to to amateur and advanced yoyo enthusiasts.

after reading all these other post i went out and got the shark-out of the box its a nice light performer-sleeps well and string tricks were a breeze.i couldnt leave well enough alone so here are a list of mods you might want to try….i did! 1.i first popped off the stock caps (using duct tape and pulling hard).and added some 14 gauge insulated wire just under the existing weights. the added weight improved the over all smoothness of the yo.i alternated with 12gauge wire but found the 14 gauge better for my next mod. 2.i made custom side caps using old plastic cards(safeway, expired credit
cards) the cards need to be cut in a 2 inch diameter. and the rim of the cut outs need to be lined with tape,to ensure a tight fit back in the yo. 3. i next added 2 small metal spikes in the center of each of the new plastic caps. VERY COOL!! i got the short ones, the long ones actually hurt my hand. i would recommend a circle template to find the exact center of the new caps but if one isnt handy get a ruler and make an”X” on your new cap and thats where the middle is.the spikes can then be screwed onto the caps-take care to find the middle or your balance will be off. 4.for about 3 bucks the r/c car store had a bearing that fit (4mmx8mm unflanged)……. intall it.i cant say if its faster than stock but its WAY quieter!!i also added a friction disk at this point. now all thats left to do is to make your caps nice with reflective tape and to show it off….. im off to get another stock shark and try to beefcake it.

ok i got my tigershark teror yo-yo and man is it bad i mean it is awsome killer looks and awsome play i got this and i does it all offstring real well on string freehand and looping not that great for looping but it is well worth the $24.00 dollors its kinnda pricey but it is real smooth on the string i havent used a yo-yo with starbursts in along time bucase i like friction stickers like the freehand but this thing sports the starbursts and it makes me kinnda respect starburts a little more it was kinnda catchy on the string at first but after you play it for a bit it gets smooth and it sleeps real good and it can handle a few layers of string. but this isent for a beginer because of the studs on the side theyll hurt when they hit ya but this thing is bad
i mean the good bad its awsome.

Before I post my review, let’s look at what Ken from Ken’s World on a String (http://www.kwos.ca/) has to say about the Tigershark:
QUOTE:
The T-Shark can sleep for a long long time. Because of it’s butterfly design it’s great for string tricks. If you’re a fan of string tricks then you can’t go wrong with a T-shark. This has got to be my favourite yo-yo. If you like fixed axles, just pop in a Technic wooden sleeve. I have one set as a fixed axle and one as a transaxle.
END QUOTE
What can I say? Perhaps I cannot disagree more than with what Ken has said.
I got the Tigershark for my birthday this year in May. My father, being a bit ignorant when it comes to yo-yo’s, said that this would sleep longer and play better than the Freehand Zero. So, I got it out and started playing with it. It could sleep for about 2 seconds, and would always catch on the string. No problem, right? Just break the bearing in and this would be one great yo-yo.
I have never made such a wrong decision in my entire life since the time I chose to see the Ant Bully.
I have broken the bearing in. The o-ring response sucks, but is the only thing that keeps this yo-yo from complete and utter destruction. It can barely sleep for 5 seconds, can handle barely any string, and is way too light. I hadn’t played with a Spintastics before this, but I have lost a respect for the company.
Simply put, this yo-yo sucks. 1 of 5 stars. I’d rather have a FH Zero or Lancer for the price.

the tiger shark overall is aprety good yo-yo.
i just got mine a few days ago.
it is alittle bit to responsive if you ask me.
but it is way smooth on string tricks.
i wouldn’t say it is awsome for looping though…
i give it a 3 out f 5.
it i a good yoyo for intermediate.
it is not a must get, but it would be a good addittion to a collection.
happy spinnins
