This yo-yo is wonderful. It has a beautiful appearance and plays extremely well. Its adjustable string gap is easy to use: just twist to adjust. It sleeps long with the weight rings in (and out) and it plays well on string tricks. The drawbacks to this yo yo are that sometimes it doesn’t respond, and it doesn’t loop too well. The butterfly design lets you land trapeze tricks and makes other strings tricks easy also. It does go through strings somewhat fast but it is worth the maintenance. This yo yo is a definite must buy. If you have $15 you can get this yo yo from Yo Yo Play and have a blast!

This yoyo is a must for anyone wanting to learn, improve, master and perform string tricks. It performs a good deal better than the original Cherry Bomb. When I got it I just took it out of the packaging, put the loop on my finger, and threw a perfect 30 second sleeper without the outer power rings. It probably could have gone longer, but the things so smooth, I couldn’t tell if it was still spinning or not. Its sleeper time will gradually increase as you use it and break in the bearing. The Adjustable gap is great, just twist the halves to where you want them. It can easily slide on the sting while still being amazingly responsive. Every sting trick from the man on the flying trapeze to the atomic bomb are a breeze. As for looping, it is average with the included wooden sleeve( Identical to a Technic’s sleeve) and the center weight rings. On a scale of one to ten, I would give it a 10 for sleeping and string tricks, a 6 for looping, and a 15 for value. Its a great buy for only $10 - $15.

You’ve got to get an A-Line Cherry Bomb just to experience that distinct smoothness of a Team Losi yo-yo. When you throw a sleeper, it looks like the yo-yo is standing still because it stays so steady . That is a testament to how well balanced the ALCB is. It’s also got some solid heft to it, so it sleeps a long time even without the weight rings. The sealed ABEC-3 bearing is extremely smooth and quiet. The first time I threw this yo, it felt like someone hit the mute button because I just couldn’t hear the bearing spinning. Couple that with the aforementioned steadiness, and you’ve got a very well behaved yo-yo - one that feels like it’s not moving at all when in actuality it’s spinning away happily. Responsiveness is pretty good, if a little inconsistent. It wakes up from sleep effortlessly, though sometimes it returns when I didn’t call it, and sometimes it doesn’t return quickly enough when I do want it to. Maybe that’s just because this yo-yo is still pretty new to me. Appearance wise, I don’t think there’s anyone who doesn’t find the A-Line Cherry Bomb to be cool looking. All three of the pearly colors go great with the metallic blue pogs. Bonus points for including weight rings and a wooden axle, and for having a decent price.

This was one of the first Butterfly yoyos that I got, it was a Pearl Blue. The feel of this yoyo is very nice in the hand. It has a nice shape and weight, if you want to add more weight you can configure the yoyo with the weight rings that are shipped with it. The cherry bomb is a wide butterfly yoyo that makes it very easy to land on the string. It also has a adjustable gap that allows you to open it up very wide for string tricks and close it down for looping or to make it very responsive. With out the weight rings this yoyo is a little light for my tastes, I added the outer weight rings and then it is almost a perfect weight. The Team Losi yo-yos have an ABEC-3 Teflon sealed bearing, this bearing never needs lube and the more you use it the smoother it gets. This Bearing can require quite a bit of break in time (3 days to 2 weeks, depending on use). When I first started to yo this yoyo was catchy and snagged on the string constantly, I could only get about 10 seconds of spin out of it and it would die on a trapeze very quickly. I had heard good things about the ALine but I had also heard that it needed to be broke in to perform properly. So I started to carry this yoyo with me everywhere and use it all the time, after about a week of play I could get well over 50 seconds of spin on a trapeze and with the gap open about half way this yoyo was very smooth and responsive. The more that I played with the yoyo the better it got, I’ve had this yoyo for over two years now and it is a very smooth and fun yoyo to play with. So if you decide to get an Aline Cherry bomb don’t expect it to be a killer yoyo right out of the package, this is a yoyo that you need to work with and learn with, in the end you will have a very nice all around yoyo that is capable of doing the moderately hard tricks and performing at a near competition level. The list price for the ALine Cherry bomb is 15.95 but if you watch you can find the Cherry bomb on ebay for $6.00 to $8.00 and is currently on sale at most online stores for 12.95. Overall this is a pretty decent yoyo and will give a long live of used and fun.

I’m an almost middle aged man that got into yoyoing about 6 months ago. The first yoyo I purchased was an A Line Da Bomb which worked well bieng a novice. Wanting to get into string tricks and even more so, complicated string tricks I found the Da Bomb to hard to catch on the string. Having liked the Team Losi line I decided to purchase a A Line Cherry Bomb and was very pleased with the way it performed. The abec 3 bearing is about the best performing bearing I have ever used with the possible exception of the SB2 of which I have. I’ve purchased a lot of yoyos since that first A Line including a Renegade, Viper, and several yomega yoyos but I keep coming bach to the Cherry Bomb. The only draw back to this yoyo is the adjustable string gap. I tend to play my yoyos hard and the gap would not stay in adjustment, drove me crazy. Finally I inserted another rubber o ring into the non axle side of the yoyo and added 2 turbo discs on top of the starbursts. Now you can screw the yoyo tight and it stays tight. The gap is wide enough for more complicated string tricks and also loops very well for a butterfly yoyo. I like my A Line Cherry Bomb even more now and am on my way to doing the even more complicated tricks ie. cold fusion and others, besides my strings seem to last longer. This has been a great yoyo for the money. It is very smooth and very well balanced. I even bought 2 da bombs for my kids.

The A-Line is most likely the best yo-yo i have ever played with. But when i got it, i hated it! It wouldn’t sleep and it would snap up too fast. Since it has an adjustable string gap (and i didn’t know what that was) i didn’t know how to use it and make it good. Plus it wasn’t broken in when i got it. After a while i figured it out and broke it in and i LOVED IT! I put the weights on and it sleeps FOREVER. I can almost get this yoyo to sleep for a minute. This is great for EVERY trick! I can do every string trick i know on it (and i know a LOT of tricks!) It can loop too. i am TERRIBLE at looping, and i can loop it! I have played with REALLY good yoyos but they were REALLY expensive. This one is SOOOOOOOOO good for its price (around 13 bucks) and my opinion A MUST BUY!! PS when you get it don’t get mad at first, break it in, adjust the gap to how u like it and play.

I picked up one of these for 8 dollars and it wasn’t too shabby, a little too responsive for me though. It has a pretty good sleep time and does fairly well on string tricks. But I found a secret that really makes this one come alive! All you have to do is get a spare bearing(either a team losi bearing or a spintastics tiger shark bearing, they are both the same size) and beefcake it which means put two bearings in it instead of the one it comes with. Then put a duncan friction sticker on each side and that is it. It is always smooth on the string no matter how many strings are in the gap and it is as responsive as it needs to be. After this mod, this yo performs identical to top of the line metal yos, especially with the weight rings in. I would recommend getting an A-Line Cherry Bomb and beefcaking it, it really makes it worth the money you paid for it!
