A good transaxle yo-yo, it has the responsive BPT giving it similar play characteristics to a Bumblebee, and the parts are easily interchangeable in case you crack one of your TBB halves. If you don’t oil it well it will squeal like crazy, causing people to wonder what the hell is making that awful squealing noise. All in all a decent buy for the money, but I’d rather have the long spins of a ball bearing. The transaxle is kind of a neat design; it’s brass and has a metal o-ring transaxle that rides on a spacer with another transaxle, then there’s a spacer that is essentially a washer.

If you’re on a budget, the Profire is a pretty decent alternative. It sleeps longer than a plain old wooden axle Pro Yo, but nowhere also long as the Turbo Bumble Bee. Instead of a ball bearing transaxle, it just has a simple brass sleeve. It has the same shape as a Pro Yo, and it has brake pads too, which makes it responsive. The disadvantage of brake pads, of course, is that they eventually wear out and need to be replaced. The Profire is a terrific looper. It’s not as good for string tricks, because sleep time is limited. For less than $10, it’s worth having for your collection.

The Profire is an OK yo-yo compared to my Viper. It can loop OK. It stalls OK also but more than half the time, for me, it screeches just like an old fireball. When it screeches it is jerky and it sometimes comes up when you don’t want it to. I replaced the brass transaxle with a ball-bearing to stop the jerkiness recently. All around this yo-yo is OK. This is my opinion and my yo-yo. A new one of these babies is a lot better than my ten month old one.

The profire is indeed a great yoyo. If you want a cross between a fixed axle and a ball bearing yoyo, this is the one to get it. You can also use the Bumble Bee ball bearing on it. The only down side is that the yoyo screeches like hell. I solved this problem with Vaseline. That’s what people use on their lips. Its made of petroleum jelly. It’s definitely better than using normal oil to lubricate it.

My friends traded me this. It’s awesome. Pretty good for 5 bucks. It can sleep pretty long. I oil it once in a while.
