Thanks to Yoyoplay for graphic.

I’ll just start this by saying this is the best yo-yo ever. Period. I am yet to get it to snag, even on mind bend and mach 5. I’ve layered 7 strings into the gap, and it snagged on the 8th. It is amazing for off string. I did a whole bunch of vertical boings, and it came back to my hand. However, as a top, all you can really do is watch is spin and then grab it. It still is awesome though. The propellers are pointless, but you can grab them and the yo-yo won’t stop spinning. Occasionally unresponsive, but a dab of lube helps it a lot. Unfortunately, it can’t loop very well, even with a lot of lube. I can do 3 Buddha’s revenge in one throw, and finish with the matrix. In conclusion, buy it, play it, love it.

ASG Stuntpilot: There are good and bad points of the ASG Stuntpilot. One of the bad points is that the bearing comes caked with lube. Sure… you can clean it off, but then the yo-yo wouldn’t come up on command. Actually, the yo-yo wouldn’t come up at all. :-) So I went out and bought some lube. Once the bearing has just SOME, not LOTS, of lube, then it will perform like no other. Since the ASG system uses different guts, it fixes the common problem of the string falling off the bearing. Also, with the adjustable gap, you can control how much you want the yo-yo to respond. Another good point I really commend ProYo for is the creation of ProYonium. The indestructability of the yo-yo actually enabled me to do some offstring on pavement without worry that the yo-yo would ever break. Sure, if a semi ran over it, it would die, but that doesn’t really happen much. The ProYonium also *heals* when you scratch it, so the appearance of *scars* don’t really matter much over time. I can’t say anything about the top mode of this yo-yo because, well, I haven’t learned how to use one. :-) But this yo-yo, for $25, is the absolute best deal you can get anywhere. This is a must have for any serious yo-yoer.

This is a pretty nice yo-yo. It uses thinner brake pads than the normal Bees and is made out of a plastic called ProYonium, which is supposedly indestructible. I was lucky enough to get one of the later models that had ” teeth,” which was designed to make brake pad installation easier. When I first got my Stunt Pilot, I hated it. It snagged on even simple string tricks and wouldn’t return. Now it won’t even sleep because the string always falls off the bearing. However, the SP3 rules for off-string!!! It’s very easy to whip catch and plays very smoothly. It sleeps longer than a Viper for off-string and handles sliding maneuvers much better. This is an excellent off-string player and I would definitely recommend trying to get your hands on one for that purpose.

Playmaxx has done it again. Now the Turbo Bumble Bee is now better than ever but with many good changes. the really good part about this yo yo is that it heals by itself so if you nick it the yo yo heals. Playmaxx has changed the brake pads so that now they are slimmer. The last great thing about this yo yo is that the sides have a “propeller” which can be use as a top. Overall this yo yo is one of the best performer to dollar ratio. One last thing, BUY THIS YO YO!!!

This thing is SWEET!!! First, the Proyonium plastic is amazing! I Walked the Dog on sidewalk for about 5 minutes, then went to some carpet and the scratches were gone. It’s a pretty cool top, although you shouldn’t throw yours under cars (oops). I haven’t tried off string simply cuz I don’t know. It’s an awesome yo-yo too (duh). The only drawbacks are that the string gap isn’t adjustable and the gap is pretty small (play with thin strings, the string that comes with is good, Slick 6 recommended). I did Cold Fusion and Cyclone Racer first try (I couldn’t get Cyclone Racer with my Viper, Triple or Nothings seem much easier with this yo-yo). The spinning propellers look pretty snazzy cuz they start spinning one way, then look like they’re going the other way. It’s just cool to stare at sleeping! I give this yo-yo a rating of 9 out of 10, 1 point cuz of small string gap, but don’t get me wrong, it’s still alright.

I’ll start out with a two word review of the Stunt Pilot: Great yoyo! The Stunt Pilot is excellent on string tricks, an amazing sleeper, and super responsive. It’s one of my best yoyos for Reach for the Moon. But the Stunt Pilot is much, much more than just a yoyo. The propellers on the side mean that you can use the yoyo as a top too! It brings in a whole new level of yoyo play that has not existed until now. There are all kinds of amazing tricks that either use the Stunt Pilot as a top, or as an off string yoyo. There’s even a notch on each side of the body of the yoyo so that you can easily wind up the string without attaching it to the axle! If you want to be blown away, watch some of the videos at the StuntPilot.com web site. If you think you’ve already mastered standard yoing, then you’ve got a whole new level to learn.
