The Chain Reactor is my favorite aluminum yoyo. There’s something about the smaller diameter that makes it feel good in your hand. Like most metal yoyos, the Chain Reactor isn’t very good for looping. But for sleeping and string tricks, it is simply amazing. The performance rings allow for superb responsiveness. But the yoyo still keeps its spin on the string! The modified body design makes it easy to catch on the string too. Probably the coolest part is that the Chain Reactor and regular Reactor are actually cheaper than most other aluminum yoyos!

This yoyo is obviously smaller than your common yo. It’s aluminum so that could be a good thing so it doesn’t kill you when it comes back up because of the weight. The chain reactor is a very slick looking yoyo. Its comes up “snappy” because of its performance rings. The oddest thing is that I can loop
perfectly fine with it (Aluminum don’t loop too good) I really like that I bought mine from theentireuniverse.com for about 23 bux with s/h. There is a butterfly version of this yoyo called just the reactor. Same price butterfly performance. I used to be a Yomega hardcore now I think I’ll go Custom!

I bought my Custom Chain Reactor a few years back for about 20 bucks. Against my Hyperwarp (which I’ve had since 13 days before public release, honestly, and really like) and my Custom Axl (w/performance rings, that I just got a month ago, which is ok), the Chain Reactor wins hands down. Sleep time, string tricks… it beats them in everyway, plus I don’t have huge hands so the size is great. It’s very smooth and VERY responsive. Occasionally it does “bite” (catch the string) but 99% of those are my fault for attempting a string trick with a “not so perfect sleeper”…tilted. I just purchased a Coral Snake but haven’t played with it yet… but right now my Chain Reactor is the best yo I’ve bought. …I hear good things about the Mags… maybe I’ll try one of those next.

I love this yo-yo! The small diameter feels great in your hand. I think ALL yo-yos should be this size. I got the black Signature Series model. It doesn’t loop too well, but it’s an excellent sleeper; I got two minutes the first day. The performance rings do make it smooth and responsive, but they are not as good as Brake Pads. They’re definitely the next best thing. The Chain Reactor is smooth on most string tricks, but I have problems with it slowing down a lot on simple Lindy Loops. Don’t let this deter you from buying one, however. The modified body design is also very easy to land on a trapeze. At around $25-30 most places, I consider it a must have (don’t forget to get a regular Reactor, too!).

I just simply love this yoyo. The small shape fells great in your hand and the P-rings give great responsiveness. This yoyo is not a good looper but for string tricks it is amazing. it sleeps very long so you can perform tricks like the Cold Fusion, the Matrix and so on. The only complaint is that when you first get it, it’s not very responsive and catches on a lot of string tricks, but after a couple of days it is the best yoyo.

It’s funny how I got this yoyo. I ordered over the phone for a Reactor in green. They said no problem. One week later in the mail came my Chain Reactor in green. I took it out of the box and thought to myself, “at least they got the color right.” Hehe. I tried it out and it is one of the best yoyos i have tried. Right up there with the viper, but the one reason why this yoyo is so cool is the size. It is so small that when I through it down (not expecting to get a good sleeper because of its size) it stayed down for a good minute. People are fooled by the size but let me tell you that size doesn’t matter with this yoyo. I can do most any of my tricks with it. Although its not much of a looper it is still a great yoyo, and until the arrival of my reactor (in blue) it is the best aluminum yoyo i have tried.

I got this yo-yo for $25 dollars from a small hobby shop but you can order it from most yo-yo dealers for about the same price. It has a great feel and good response because of the rubber brake pads, which are similar to TBB or TBBGT’s except they don’t wear down. At first I thought this yo-yo sucked but after I got the bearing and the rubber brake pads worn in it was great. It is an awesome sleeper (my best is 3:47) and it my best sleeping yo-yo (I only buy yo-yos $30 and under). It also works great on string tricks such as split the atom or the matrix. Its looping is a little above average for a ball bearing yo-yo. Overall this is my best yo-yo so far and you can buy it for under $30.

I bought a custom chain reactor yoyo about a month ago. When I first tried it I loved it thou after about an hour it would not return half of the time. A couple of weeks later I decided to replace the performance rings. It worked great thou every now and than it wont return. When this happens I just unscrew it than screw back together and works great. Its now my favorite yoyo its awsome for string tricks. It loops pretty well for an aluminum yoyo. I recommend it to anyone.

I bought this yo-yo because of the great reviews I read and I thought it would be a good yo to let my 6 year old son have some fun with since it was small in size. I am 40 and own lots of yo-yos and have played off and on (mostly off) for years, however, with small kids, full time employment, and other responsibilities, I really don’t have the time to be more than a slightly below average player at best. I was impressed with the playability of this little yo-yo. I don’t modify my yo-yos. I expect them to play right out of the package and this one did. It loops better than the average alloy yo and is smooth enough on string tricks. The small size is weird at first but soon becomes an asset. It plays just like a full sized yo but is easier to catch and handle. I put the yo-yo through its paces for a few minutes before cutting the string and turning it over to my 4 foot tall kid who up to this point could only do a clumsy gravity drop with a pro yo 2. It fit his hands better than the larger yo-yos in the house and in no time he was doing throw downs and forward passes. By the second afternoon he had thrown a 78 second till-death sleeper ! Wow. Even more impressive when you consider that the string was only 2 1/2 feet long. Four days later he can do Walk the Dog, Around the World, Rock the Cradle, and 1 or 2 other simple tricks most of the time. The yo-yo never fails to wake on his command even at near death RPMs. I regret that I didn’t spend more time with this yo-yo before passing it on, but I think I have found a great use for this wonderful little yo with the full sized heart. A Reactor and a Pocket Rocket are now on their way so there will be enough mighty minis to go around. This yo-yo is a great player and a great gift for small, budding yoists (with proper supervision of course). It is also an incredible value at around 20 to 25 bucks. Buy one and don’t worry, you’ll be happy.

I love this little yoyo. After lubing it with FP10 & putting some black silicone sealant on the axle threads to keep it solid and absorb string shock, its sleeps forever and snaps into you hand so fast you almost can’t see it coming. Had it for 3 days now and I can’t wait to get my hands on a AXL Elite.

This is a very good yo yo. But it hurts a lot then it hits your hand. Be careful when your yo yoing outside on sidewalk because it chips really easily. And yes it is much smaller than an original yo yo. I wouldn’t say it’s to easy to catch on the string and it is not very good for looping. But otherwise it is an awesome yo yo!!!
