I have had my Aerospin for about 2 months now. The most I have slept this yoyo is 3 minutes and 59 seconds. It is my second longest sleeping yoyo other than my Samurai. It performs really well. It is really good on the string. It can also hold a a lot of strings in the gap. It actually loops pretty good for a butterfly yoyo. The soft outer edges feels great in your hand and dont hurt when the yoyo snaps back at ya. It has a adjustable string gap that works good. This is definitely a yoyo to get. You willl pay about $14 for this great yoyo. Get one today!

Others have said that this is a great yo-yo, but personally I don’t think it is that great. It doesn’t feel very smooth, and the simple act of yo-yoing gives a rough jerk, when the gap is widened enough for it to be able to sleep. It doesn’t sleep very well either. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but I can’t get it to sleep for more than about 10 seconds and still have enough spin to get it back up the string. A Yomega Raider for about the same price is a much better yo-yo.

The Aerobie Aerospin is a pretty good all-around yoyo, but best for string tricks. Its shape is hard to describe — something like a cross between a Turbo Bumble Bee and the rounded butterfly shape of the Bumble Bee GT. At first it looks like a modified shape, but then you notice that it has a wider string gap like a butterfly. One cool feature of this yoyo is that it has a soft rubberized grip around the edge of the yoyo, so it’s easy on your hand. The Aerospin has an adjustable string gap, and a ball bearing transaxle. It’s a good sleeper, and easy to catch on the string. It also sleeps well on the string during tricks like Split the Atom. The Aerospin can be completely taken apart, but it feels like you’re breaking it when you unscrew it and screw it back together.

I just received my Aerospin in the mail last week. I cannot put this yo down, and I think it has the best all around performance. I can get a pretty good sleep time out of it — 1:30, which for me is comparable to the TBB. The braking system is different (not a typical starburst or brake pad), responsive, and maintenance free. It’s modified butterfly shape is excellent for string tricks and still narrow enough that you don’t catch the wrong string while splitting the atom. The gap is adjustable and holds firmly into place with a lock nut. If you do have to adjust it, it only takes a small little twist to the left or right. I’m not the best looper. I can get 40 loops with a Proyo II. Nevertheless, with the Aerospin, even though it’s a ball bearing yo yo, I can still get 30 good loops out of it (beats my AXL with rings by 10). The rubber edges are nice on your knuckles while you learn those tough tricks. The price ranges from $15-20, and unfortunately Y4L doesn’t have them. I got mine at Appleheart for $14 + shipping. Don’t overlook this great yo yo.

This is a great yoyo for an intermediate player. it is an all around yoyo good looper — sleeps for about a minute on an average throw. good on the string, it’s pretty easy to catch on the string and sleeps long enough to pull off a few tricks on there. if you want an all around yoyo or a looper this is your yoyo, but if you want a string trick yoyo for the same money you can get a bmt black widow or a super yo renegade. both are better for string tricks.
